Here is a check list for eligibility

  • Entries must be collections of poetry, no fewer than 40 pages involving a nature, environmental or ecological theme
  • Self published collections are not eligible
  • Entries must be submitted by publishers
  • The entry period is November 22nd, 2019 to March 16th, 2020
  • Publishers must submit 4 hard copies
  • Collections must have been published in the past 5 years between March 15th, 2015 to March 16th 2020 for eligibility – if not yet published then hard copy manuscripts will be accepted
  • Publishers may submit up to 4 collections

Entry Guidelines for The Laurel Prize

Submissions for the 2020 Laurel Prize will open on Monday November 25th and close on Monday March 16th, 2020, 5pm

Prizes will be given to the authors of the best collections of nature or environmental poetry published in the UK or Republic of Ireland between March 16th 2015 and March 16th, 2020

Don’t forget, you can enter single poems for the Ginkgo Prize.
